Terms of Use
Ghostline
Last updated: September 12, 2026
Please read these terms before using Ghostline. They are the agreement between you and Ghostline, Inc.
1. Interpretation and definitions
Words with a capital first letter have the meaning given below. The definitions mean the same thing in the singular and the plural.
- App means Ghostline, the software you download and use on your device.
- App Store means the digital distribution service operated by Apple Inc.
- Google Play means the digital distribution service through which Ghostline is distributed on Android.
- Store means the App Store or Google Play, depending on where you obtained the App or purchased your subscription.
- Apple means Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries, including Apple Distribution International Ltd.
- Apple Account means the account you use to buy from the App Store. Apple used to call this an Apple ID.
- Affiliate means an entity that controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with a party, where "control" means ownership of 50% or more of the shares, equity interest or other securities entitled to vote for the election of directors or other managing authority.
- Feedback means feedback, innovations or suggestions you send us about the features, performance or attributes of the Service.
- Free trial means a limited period during which a subscription may be offered free of charge.
- Ghostline Pro means paid subscription access to Ghostline. The purchase screen identifies the plan and the access it includes.
- Service means the App and the features it provides, including the server-side processing used by Pro Stencil.
- Subscription means access to Ghostline Pro, purchased through the applicable Store on a recurring basis.
- Terms means these Terms of Use, which are the entire agreement between you and us about your use of the Service.
- We, us, our and Ghostline mean Ghostline, Inc, 24302 Del Prado Ave., Unit A, Dana Point, CA 92629, USA.
- You means the person using the Service, or the company or other legal entity on whose behalf that person is using it.
2. Acknowledgement
These Terms govern your use of the Service and set out the rights and obligations of everyone who uses it. They apply to all visitors and users.
By using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of them, you may not use the Service.
You confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We do not permit anyone under 18 to use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and disclose your information and explains your privacy rights and choices. Please read it before using the Service. Accepting these Terms does not replace any separate consent required for data processing.
3. Your licence to use Ghostline
We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Ghostline on compatible devices that you own or control. For the iOS version, use must comply with the Usage Rules in Apple's App Store Terms of Service and is limited to Apple-branded devices, including eligible Family Sharing or volume-purchase use allowed by those Usage Rules. For the Android version, the applicable Google Play terms also apply. This licence is for your own personal or professional use.
You may not sell, rent, sub-license, or distribute the App; copy or modify it except as the law allows regardless of this clause; reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble it except to the extent the law expressly permits; or remove any notice of ownership from it.
We keep every right we have not expressly given you here.
4. Subscriptions
Access to Ghostline's paid features requires an active subscription or an eligible trial. The purchase screen identifies the plan, included access, price, and billing period. You purchase inside the app through the App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android. We do not bill you directly for these subscriptions.
Store billing. Ghostline, Inc provides the app. The applicable Store handles the purchase and payment process under its terms. We receive subscription and transaction records through RevenueCat to verify access and provide support, as explained in our Privacy Policy. We do not receive your full payment-card details, billing address, or Store login credentials through this processing. Nothing in these Terms overrides mandatory consumer law.
Price and period. The purchase screen shows the price, billing period, applicable trial, and renewal terms before you confirm. The Store charges the payment method associated with your Store account according to those terms.
Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically for the period shown unless cancelled in time. For an App Store subscription, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends; Apple may charge for renewal within the preceding 24 hours. For a Google Play subscription, cancel before the next renewal shown in Google Play.
Use Info → Manage subscription inside Ghostline, or manage the purchase with the Store:
- iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or Apple subscription management.
- Android: Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or Google Play subscription management.
Cancellation normally stops future renewals and leaves paid access available until the end of the paid period, subject to any refund or other applicable Store rule. Uninstalling Ghostline or requesting deletion of personal data does not cancel a subscription. An email to support is not, by itself, confirmation that renewal has been cancelled; use the Store controls or contact us if you need assistance.
Free trials. If offered, the purchase screen shows the trial length and the price and billing period that follow. Unless cancelled in time, the trial converts to a paid subscription. For App Store trials, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. For Google Play trials, cancel before the trial ends. Trial eligibility and what happens to remaining trial access after cancellation or a plan change are governed by the offer and applicable Store rules.
Service safeguards and acceptable use. The subscription is for using Ghostline through the app. It does not grant access to an independent API or permission to resell our processing service. Do not use unauthorized scripts, bots, or direct API calls to exploit the service, circumvent access controls, or bypass safeguards.
We may apply proportionate rate limits or temporarily restrict requests to investigate suspected automated abuse, unauthorized access, or activity that threatens service security or availability. If a safeguard interrupts ordinary use, contact support@ghostline.app so we can review it. Any suspension or termination is subject to Section 12 and your mandatory rights.
Availability and results. Pro Stencil requires an internet connection and available processing capacity. Maintenance, service interruptions, and processing failures may delay a result. Review generated stencils, detail, and scale before using them for a tattoo or printing. We do not guarantee a particular artistic result, exclusive output, or that generated content is free of third-party rights. This does not remove remedies for a service that fails to meet an applicable contractual or statutory requirement.
Price changes. A new price does not change a period you have already paid for. The Store provides the notices and obtains any consent required for a future price change. You can cancel before the change takes effect. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
5. Refunds and your right to cancel
App Store purchases. Request a refund through Apple's refund service or Apple Support. Apple handles App Store refund requests under its policies and applicable law. We cannot promise a refund on Apple's behalf, but you can contact support@ghostline.app for help with a dispute.
Google Play purchases. Request a refund through Google Play's refund process, or contact support@ghostline.app for help with your purchase. Eligibility depends on the purchase, timing, Store policy, and applicable law.
Statutory rights. You retain all withdrawal, cancellation, refund, and other consumer rights applicable where you live. In the EU, EEA, and UK, a statutory withdrawal period may apply; its application and any exception for digital content or services depend on the purchase and applicable law, including any required consent or acknowledgment at purchase. The Store's applicable terms explain its withdrawal process. Nothing in these Terms asks you to waive a mandatory right or excludes a remedy for faulty or undelivered services.
Cancellation and refunds are separate. Stopping renewal does not itself request a refund. Use the appropriate refund route above if you also want a refund.
6. Billing
The App Store or Google Play and its payment providers handle your payment method, billing address, charges, and receipts. You manage payment details with the Store used for the purchase. If payment fails, the Store handles billing retries under its rules. We do not issue direct subscription invoices or ask you to pay us outside the Store.
We do receive and retain subscription and transaction records, including purchase events and the terms shown when you subscribed. These are different from full payment-card details or Store login credentials. Our Privacy Policy explains these records and their retention.
7. Your photos
You retain the rights you hold in the images you bring into Ghostline. We claim no ownership of those images or the stencils you make from them. This does not grant you rights belonging to someone else or guarantee copyright protection for generated output.
Classic Stencil image processing runs on your device and does not upload the image to our processing servers. Separate subscription and optional telemetry functions are described in the Privacy Policy.
Pro Stencil sends the image you choose to our servers for processing. For that feature, you give us a limited licence to process the image and generated results to provide the service, cache outputs, and diagnose processing problems. We may retain diagnostic image copies to investigate failures or compare processing results. All cached and diagnostic image copies on our servers are scheduled for automatic deletion fourteen (14) days after each copy is created. Deletion runs asynchronously, so a copy may remain briefly while cleanup completes. This schedule applies equally to outputs and diagnostic inputs; it is not a promise of deletion at an exact fourteen-day deadline.
We do not use your images or generated stencils to train models, and do not publish them. Our hosting and contracted AI image-processing providers may process them on our behalf as described in the Privacy Policy. Contracted AI providers are prohibited from using the images or results to train or improve their general-purpose models. If you export, print, or share content, it is sent to the destination you choose.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit and use the images, including any permission required to process images of other people. Do not submit unlawful content or use the Service to infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights.
8. Your feedback to us
You retain ownership of feedback you provide. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, adapt, and incorporate that feedback to develop and improve the Service, including after you stop using it. You do not have to provide feedback, and we do not owe compensation for using it unless separately agreed. This clause does not expand our rights to use your images or generated stencils and does not authorize model training with them.
9. Intellectual property
The Service and its original content — excluding content you provide — together with its features and functionality, are and remain the exclusive property of Ghostline, Inc and its licensors.
The Service is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws of the United States and of other countries.
Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.
10. Apple
This section applies to the iOS version obtained through the App Store.
This agreement is between you and Ghostline, Inc. Apple is not a party to it.
- Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for it. If you need help, ask us — support@ghostline.app.
- If the app fails to conform to any warranty that applies to it, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation of any kind, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are ours to deal with, not Apple's.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim you or a third party makes about the app or your use of it — including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar law.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging any claim that the app or your use of it infringes a third party's intellectual property.
- You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and when you accept them Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
11. Links to other websites
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not own or control.
We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party website or service. You acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any content, goods or services available on or through any such website or service.
We strongly advise you to read the terms and privacy policies of any third-party website or service you visit.
12. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access to address a material breach of these Terms, abuse of the Service, or a concrete security risk. Where reasonable, we will explain the issue and allow an opportunity to resolve it. Immediate action may be necessary to protect users, comply with law, or prevent serious harm to the Service.
If we terminate your access, your licence to use the affected service ends. Suspending or terminating access does not itself cancel a Store subscription. We will explain how to stop renewal and assist with any refund or other remedy to which you are entitled. If we stop providing paid access without a breach by you, contact support@ghostline.app for assistance obtaining an appropriate remedy, including any applicable refund for unused paid access, through the relevant Store process.
Nothing here removes your mandatory cancellation, refund, or other consumer rights.
13. Service warranties
We provide the Service with reasonable care and skill where required by applicable law. You retain all mandatory rights concerning conformity, fitness, and remedies for faulty digital content or services.
Subject to those rights, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not give additional implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, or promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. The availability and output limitations in Section 4 apply without excluding mandatory remedies.
14. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit. These exceptions apply to every limitation in these Terms.
Subject to those exceptions and only to the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability and that of our suppliers arising from the Service is limited to the amount you actually paid for the Service, or USD 100 if you have not purchased anything. This cap does not reduce a mandatory refund or other statutory remedy.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or business interruption. If you are a consumer, this does not exclude compensation for losses for which your applicable consumer law makes us responsible. Each limitation applies only so far as it is lawful in your circumstances.
15. Consumers
If you are a consumer, you have the benefit of any mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live, and nothing in these Terms overrides them.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and those courts' rules apply to consumer disputes with us whatever the Governing law and venue section says.
16. Governing law and venue
The laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, govern these Terms and your use of the Service. Your use of the App may also be subject to other local, state, national or international laws.
Any dispute that reaches a court will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
That venue clause does not apply where it cannot. If you are a consumer, any mandatory rule of your own country or state that fixes the competent court — for example the rules that give a consumer the right to sue and be sued where they live — prevails over this section.
17. Disputes
If you have any concern or dispute about the Service, please try to resolve it with us first by writing to support@ghostline.app. Most things are fixable that way, and we would rather fix them.
Alternative dispute resolution. Ghostline, Inc is not signed up to, and is not committed to using, any alternative-dispute-resolution or consumer-mediation scheme. If you are a consumer, this does not affect any statutory right you have to take a dispute to a consumer body, ombudsman or court under the law of the country where you live.
18. United States government end users
Use by United States government end users is subject to applicable procurement law and any mandatory government rights. These Terms do not override those requirements.
19. Export and sanctions compliance
You must comply with export-control and sanctions laws applicable to your use of the Service. You must not use or obtain the Service where that would violate those laws.
For the iOS version obtained through the App Store, you also represent and warrant that you are not located in a country under a United States government embargo or designated by that government as supporting terrorism, and that you are not on a United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
20. Severability and waiver
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish its objective to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
Waiver. Except as provided here, a failure to exercise a right or to require performance of an obligation under these Terms does not affect a party's ability to exercise that right or require that performance at any time afterwards, and a waiver of a breach is not a waiver of any later breach.
21. Language
These Terms are published in English, and the English text is the only version we maintain. If we ever make a translation available, the English text prevails in the event of a dispute, except where the law of your country requires otherwise.
22. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, security needs, or the Service. For a material change, we will give reasonable notice and ordinarily at least thirty days before it takes effect. A shorter period may be necessary to meet a legal requirement or address an urgent security issue; we will explain the reason where permitted. We will obtain any agreement required by applicable law.
Changes do not retroactively change the price or billing period already paid for, remove accrued rights, or reduce a promised paid benefit where applicable law requires your agreement or a remedy. If you disagree with a change, you may stop using the Service and cancel renewal through the Store. Any further cancellation or refund rights remain available. Continued use counts as acceptance only where applicable law allows; it does not replace required express consent.
